2024/25 Season Concert #2

Kendall Square Orchestra
Sanders Theatre, Cambridge, MA

Kristo Kondakçi, conductor
Yoonhee Lee, violin

DEBUSSY Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune
PIAZZOLLA The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires
BERLIOZ Symphonie fantastique

K²O’s second concert of the season, Dream and Delirium, invites you into sound worlds where reality blurs and imagination takes hold. Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune opens with languid beauty, a haze of color and sensuality that seems to slow time itself. Yoonhee Lee joins the orchestra for Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a dazzling fusion of tango’s sultry energy and classical virtuosity. Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique brings the evening to a fevered climax — a sweeping, visionary work that journeys from tender reverie to hallucinatory brilliance.
