Missy Mazzoli’s luminous These Worlds In Us, musical poetry where grief, memory, and joy exist side by side. Then Haydn’s sparkling concerto starring Leland Ko: “He imbued the finale with fire,” wrote the Boston Classical Review, “its feisty back-and-forths and brilliant flashes of color, snapped.” Brahms’s First Symphony crowns the evening with its monumental passage from uncertainty to blazing triumph.
