K²O launches into an evening of energy, reinvention, and transformation.

Elena Kats-Chernin’s Big Rhap crackles with color and rhythmic vitality, setting the orchestra in exhilarating motion. Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis takes familiar themes by Carl Maria von Weber and reshapes them with dazzling orchestral color, rhythmic ingenuity, and bold imagination. Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony then confronts fate with overwhelming force, sweeping through anguish, tenderness, defiance, and blazing celebration. This is music felt in the body as much as the heart: vivid, visceral, and fully alive.

Most of our performances take place at Sanders Theatre (45 Quincy Street, Room 027, Cambridge, MA 02138). Sanders Theatre is managed by Memorial Hall/Lowell Hall Complex at Harvard University.
