Elena Spencer

Elena is inspired by the power of music to connect across individuals from different backgrounds in all aspects of life, and by the leadership and community building that are essential whether in a laboratory, boardroom or concert hall.
Elena began her 20-year career in the biopharmaceutical industry as a research scientist, later transitioning to R&D strategy & operations where she now serves as Director of Technology Platforms and Outreach at Pfizer Kendall Square. She holds a BS & MS in cellular & molecular biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Elena serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Boston-based Women in the Enterprise of Science & Technology (WEST) and is passionate about efforts to increase diversity in the STEM workforce through early education and training programs.
